Granola

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup honey
1/3 cup molasses
5 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup dry milk
3/4 teaspoons cinnamon



Mix brown sugar, oil, honey, and molasses in a saucepan. Heat until the sugar is dissolved. Combine dry ingredients in a large cake pan. Pour sugar mixture over dry mixture and mix well. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Let cool in pan. Store in an airtight container.

This is just like eating candy. Only better. You can rationalize this very well! Granola is HEALTHY!!! I came across this recipe in the Winnipeg Free Press many years ago and have changed it up - adding more honey and adding molasses.

Sometimes I have dry milk - and sometimes not. When I have it, I put it in, otherwise, it doesn't really makes a big difference in taste. The dry milk is HEALTHY, so it adds into the rationalization of eating the oh-so-good-for-you granola.
